General Rules
- Stay Active- If you are inactive for an extended period of time without telling a staff member, your account may be deleted and character (if canon) given away to another member.
- Follow Proboards Terms of Service- That thing that you accepted when signing up on this website? Yeah you have to follow that. No sexually mature threads, excessive drug use, and other touchy subjects. Be careful.
- Follow our Rules- Because I can kick you out, ya know.
- Obey the Staff- If you have a particular problem with a certain staff member, please let me (aka admin) know and I will help handle the situation.
- Respect Others- I don't want to see anything bad said against ANY religion, race, sex, sexual orientation or anything else. Keep it friendly, guys.
- No Fighting- No fighting or being rude to any member of the website. If you have a problem, please PM me with the details and I can help you.
- Images- Avatars are only to be used as a head-shot of your character, so please claim a played-by and find a picture suitable as your icon. No nudity, please. As for signatures, any size is fine as long as it does not stretch the board. Thank you!
Character Creation Rules
- Before you begin role playing, please fill out an application for your character and wait to be accepted. Please be patient while we review your application.
- When creating an original character, you may not create a SHIELD senior/elite agent, senior tech specialist, or senior pilot. You must rank up to these statuses, or buy a character creation spot with funds from another account.
- Users are limited to two FREE characters with superpowers. To create more than two characters with superpowers, you must buy him/her in the shop.
- There is currently no limit on the amount of original characters you may have. Just keep them all active.
- There is a limit on 3 canon characters per person, however, these canons may not come from the same group. For example, you may not have two X-Men or two Avengers.
- Your icon should be an image or gif of your character, and nothing else. Also, please change your display name to your character's first and last name.
- Be aware of sensitive subjects. There are no bans on certain subjects, but do be tasteful and respectful. You do not know what fellow members may have been through in their own lives. If you ever feel uncomfortable about something, please PM me or a staff member and we will deal with the situation.
In Character Rules
- I understand that we're not all fantastic writers, but on this RP board I would appreciate it if we all at least tried. This means proofread your posts and use spellcheck if you think that you need it. Any post written in net speak (liek, omg, plz, srsly, u, ur, etc) will not be tolerated.
- You may only have one character per thread. Any more and it'd just be like role playing yourself.
- Please, only post in third person. It can get very confusing if everyone goes around referring to their character as 'I'.
- No "God-Modding"- This means you cannot decide what another character does.
Not Acceptable: John was so angry that he punched Mary right in the face.
Acceptable: John was so angry that he threw a punch right toward Mary's face.
See the difference? In the second example, it leaves it up to Mary's writer to decide if the punch actually made it to her face. Just be careful!
- No Powerplaying- Your character is not perfect... No character is. Your character cannot dodge every attack or be the best fighter on the face of the Earth. Don't turn your character into a mary-sue.
- Word Count- There is currently a 100 word minimum word count. Also, be courteous to other players. If someone gives you a 500 word post, at least try your best to put a decent amount of effort into your reply as well.
- Activity- Please stay active. If you do not post at least once per character per month, you will get 5 warning points. If you reach 15, your character may be deleted.
